Cost of the houses will be $4,- 500,000, and they will be used as ( a temporary housing set-up to take care of the construction i workers, it was stated. Representatives of Defense Plants could not be reached for verification of the report, although Joe Rice, Washington , executive, spent several days here in con- j ference with officials of local utilities and other groups interested in seeing construction of all new houses allocated to Las Vegas and Boulder City.
