ion Site of Investment Of $2,124,210 Made In Six Months Semi-Annual Report Indicates New Construction Peak Las Vegas has had the greatest amount of building in the first six months of 1942 of any similar period in the history of the town since the auction sale of lots by the Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad in May, 1905, when the community was started as a division point on the railroad. The total for the six months’ period is shown on 678 permits issued by R. S. Norton, city building inspector, representing an investment of $2,124,210. In June 62 permits were issued representing an investment of $90,490.
