Las Vegas Evening Review-Journal July 33, 1943 UvC 7-» i- * vr ? Boulder City Is Short of Water % I Boulder City has been faced with a water shortage, threaten- ; ing the rationing of "water with . even more serious restriction in its use. ' . For some , time the reserve has been consistently reduced, due to a greatly increased use of water as the city expanded without comparable extension of water supply facilities. This reached a climax with the breakdown of a pump and the warning by press and public address system Tuesday. However, due to the ready response and cooperation of users,; who were .asked to: defer the irrigation of lawns for most of one’ day, to avoid all waste in cooler | systems and otherwise to con-; serve water, the situation is well in hand, the city management reported. While appreciation was expressed for \ this compliance, it is urged that continued care must be exercised. ®------—---(\—-------1-- •
