Dear Sir:- Returning enclosed correspondence receiY®<L_.- * with your letter of the 15th ultimo, relative to pack­ing house which this Company built at Riverside on Seventh Street: The facts are, as you know, when the orig­inal proposition was submitted to build a packing house on Seventh Street at Riverside, it was on the same plans as other house built by the Southern Pacific Railroad and furnished to shippers of citrus fruit, also by this Company. You recall that Committee called on us stating that the City of Riverside demanded all build­ings on Seventh Street, within certain limits, must be on Mission style, the difference in cost being about $1500.00, and as an extra consideration to this Company our friends agreed to show on all their letter-heads a cut of the packing house stating - "Located on main line of Salt Lake Railroad, Riverside". This advertise­ment was valuable to this Company. For your further information will state the Santa Fe and Southern Pacific have_js±u^
