I agree.V 1 Extension of porch* Rooming. House Las Vegas, Nev., Mar* 2, 1919 Mr. J. Ross Clark, Los Angeles, Cal. Dear Sir: Referring to your letter under date of February 12th, in reference to extension of porch along the north side of the rooming house, would say that since receiving same I have had two of our local contractors give me an estimate or bid on this work and I do not understand wherein Mr* Maguire gets his estimate of #3,000.00, as I have One bid pf #1840. and another bid of #1910. for the work, they to furnish all materials and complete the same, putting a new sidewalk down under the porch, which would be required. the amount of revenue we would get out of the same, but I feel sure that if this was done and sleeping cots'placed on the porch for all occupants of the rooming house, it would save us a great many vacancies such as we have always had in summer months, on account of the excessive heat of the upstairs rooms.. If you have anything further to advise in this matter.write me. This seems like a rather heavy expenditure .for a v f f uOO £s)Lj Yours tr.nl v. £ Agent and Vice-Pres
