Bear Sir: I have a letter from Mr*Clark under date of Jim© seventeenth copy of which he has sent to yon* In which he recommends that the rates for the rooms in the rooming house he $10*00 and $18*50 respect ively* fhese are the rates suggested hy yon In your letter of January 20, 1918, but we thought it was best to try a little higher rate in the beginning, beoause it could easily be reduced, whereas, if we started with a low rate it would be more difficult to increase it, but, as we have been unable to fill the house at the present rates, you are now authorised to reduce the rates, making the rooms which are now $11.00 and #12.50 respectively, $10.00 each, and the rooms which are $12*50, #15.00 each* Yours truly.
