COPY % % l February 21, 1919 Mr. J. D. Farrell, First Vice-President, Portland, Oregon. Dear Sir,- Since we re-organized the Lae Vegas Land and Water Company, and X was elected President of same, X hare been digging into matters to find out all X oan about the affairs of the Company. I find we have a great many unsold lots in Clark’s Las Vegas Townsite at Lae Vegas, Nevada. X asked Mr. Braoken to make me up a list of same, giving the block and lot numbers, prices originally put on the lots, and the increases made, and alsowhat he thinks would be a fair price at this time* X enclose you copy of his letter of the 20th, with list of the lots, the old prices and the proposed prices; also a little map of the townsite for ready reference* The letter sets the matter out quite fully and comprehensively. Please understand that Fremont Street is the principal business street, and Second Street is the principal pide street. In fact, the four corners of Fremont and Second Streets is considered about the center of the business section. I strongly recommend the reduction in price of the lots as outlined by Mr. Braoken, and if you concur, will you please send me a wire, that we may put these prices into effect by the first of March, and also hope to get some relief on the assessment. (Enc) Very truly yours, (Signed) J. MOSS
