Dear 8ir* - I have your letter of the £3rd last., file.1-908„ which refers to forged check Arthur McGuire #68.35, which was cashed by Dr.Bracken some months ago, on which suit was brought in the Justice Court., I presume, and we were defeated. As I have said before, I do not remember of any correspondence with Dr.Bracken in regard to the matter, except he stated to me the conditions under which the check was cashed, and they were defeated in the lower court and suggested an appeal tc the District court, which I opposed as I felt that the expense, even if we won, would practically eat up the amount, and from the statement made to me I did not see that we had very much chance to win.
