Sir: You are hereby advised that the Honorable Secretary of the Interior has granted authority for the modification of positions and salaries for the Indian service in so far as to permit the employment of an assistant matron at your school at a salary of $540. per annum, in lieu of a similar position already authorized at a sal ary of $144 per annum. You will please submit the name of some suitable person for the position to this office on descriptive statement No. 5-241, together with her application papers and oath of office properly filled out.
