Montgomery 15 North Oakland Pasadena, California Dear Sir: Referring to your and my conversations with Mr. Hugh Shamberger, State Engineer, Public Service Commission of Nevada, relative to perforating Wells Nos. 12 and 13 in the Union Pacific Railroad Company water field at Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Shamberger requests that these Wells be perforated and production tested on the following basis: 1. Perforate casing in lower zone below the 500 ft. elevation and in event pumping tests develop a good production, omit perforations in upper zone and install permanent pumps. 2. In event production in lower zone proves to be small, then Mr. Shamberger states he will give consideration to grant­ing permit for perforating in the upper zone. He intends to have his representative observe the pumping tests on these wells with instructions to keep him advised concern­ing the tests. In the event the casing in the upper zone is perforated and production test is made in the manner outlined above, then the extra cost of the duplicate perforating and pumping tests over and above the contract prices will be approximately $350*00 more or less, for each well. In accordance with your request, the entire length of casing below the 500 ft. elevation will be perforated with louvered perforations, examples of which you inspected with Mr. Maag in Las Vegas on June 3rd, 195^* Will you please advise your approval of performing this work on above basis and the extra expense thereof.
