RELOCATION FUND Manager Renshaw explained that Attorney McNamee had prepared a pro- posed agreement for release of the Relocation Fund and had submitted it to the Union Pacific Railroad Company for consideration. If the agreement is accepted by the Union Pacific, authorization for execution by the proper officers on behalf of the District will be required. A motion was duly made by Director Thorn, seconded by Director DuBravac, and unanimously approved by the four Directors present, that the proper officers of the District be authorized to execute the proposed agreement with the Union Pacific for release of the Relocation Fund,when it has been approved and returned by the Union Pacific. USE OF DISTRICT PROPERTY FOR CITY PARK At the suggestion of President Campbell, the Manager had prepared drafts of a proposed statement of the District*s position reLative to use of District property for a City park, together with a letter of transmittal addressed to Mayor C. D. Baker. Following study and consideration of the drafts, a motion was duly made by Director Thorn, seconded by Director DuBravac, and unanimously approved by the four Directors present, that the Manager be authorized to mail and release the letter and statement at his own discretion, subject to approval of the drafts by President Campbell, and to no objections being raised by absent Directors. QUITCLAIM DEED FOR EASEMENT Quitclaim deed N.L.D. No. 2969 submitted by the Union Pacific was presented to the Board for approval and authorization for execution by the proper officers. It was noted that the Board had approved the quitclaim in principle on May 29, 1956. Attorney approved the document as to form. A motion was duly made by Director Thorn, seconded by Director Rosevear, and unanimously approved by the four Directors present, that quitclaim deed N.L.D. No. 2969 as submitted by the Union Pacific be approved and that the proper officers be authorized to execute same on behalf of the District. WATER SERVICE DYKE LANE The following letter from the Assistant State Engineer dated June 15 and the Manager*s reply dated June 21, 1956 relative to main extension on Dyke Lane were considered by the Board. MIn your reply refer to No. s. 9525 and 10434 June 15, 1956 William C. Renshaw, Manager Las Vegas Valley Water District P. 0. Box 1109 Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Bill: After I talked with you last week in Las Vegas, we had two families come into our office who reported they were out of domestic water. Their homes are located north of. Bonanza Road in the old Julia Russell tract. These people have been getting their water from an artesian well that has one of the earliest priorities of use in the Las Vegas Valley.
