    131 Following a brief discussion,, a motion was made by Director Espinoza, seconded by Director Fayle, and approved by the seven Directors present, that Contract No* 21 be awarded to Ace Plumbing and Heating Company, In c ., the low bidder, in the amount of $22,420, subject to approval of the form of bid by the Manager. ? R E F U N D IN G A G R E EM E N T Refunding agreement N o . 243-194w ith the Clark County School District in the amount of $3,832.50 covering main extension to serve Hyde Park Junior High School was submitted for approval by the Board. In response to questions, the Manager advised that the ogreement was an the standard form and was in order . A motion was then made by Director Werner, seconded by Director Pico, and approved by the seven Directors present, that refunding agreement N o . 243-194 in the amount of $3,832.50 be approved.;: APP R O VAL O F STA TE M EN T A statement from Ed Phillips dated May 5, 1959 in the amount of $80 covering car expenses for the month of A p ril, 1959 was submitted for approval by the Board. A motion was made by Director Werner, seconded by Director Espinoza, and approved by the seven Directors present, that the statement from Ed Phillips in the amount of $80 be approved for payment. H ELLD O R A D O PARADE Manager Ren thaw asked the wishes of the Board relative to letting the employees off to attendt^e Helldorado parade. In response to questions, the Manager advised that in previous years the employees had been allowed to.go to the parade at approximately 3:00 p .m ., although the office hod been kept open with a skeleton crew . Following a brief discussion, a motion was made by Director Fayle, seconded by Director Werner, and approved by the seven Directors present, that the District employees be allowed off to attend the Helldorado parade. G A S O L IN E Manager Renshaw requested authority .to -take, bids-for furnishing gasoline for the year ending Jun e 30, I9 6 0 . He explained that in accordance with the usual practice, it was proposed to request sealed bids in letter form from the six major oil companies, the bids to be opened at the regular meeting of June 2, 1959. In response to a question tfrom Director Espinoza, the Manager explained that while the price of gasoline may vary from time to tim e, most bids are submitted in a form not to exceed the current price, but with a<preVi$ipoJe allow for a reduction in p rice. Following further discussion, it was generally agreed that the Joe Cardinal Company should be added to the list of oil companies requested to furnish bids. A motion was made by Director Werner, seconded by Director Pico, and'approved by the seven Directors present, that the Manager be authorized to take informal bids for furnishing gasoline for the year ending June 30, I860. PURCHASE O F PICK UP TRUCK The Manager requested, authority to purchase a one-half ton p ick - up truck to replace a 1954 International • He.explained that it was proposed to request sealed bids in letter form from local dealers, the bids to be opened at the regular meeting of June 2, 1959. Following a brief .discussion, a motion was made, by Director Werner, seconded by Director Pico, and approved by the seven Director? present, thpt the Manager be. authorized to request bids for purchase of a one-half ton pick up truck.
