Montgomery 15 North Oakland Avenue Pasadena, California Dear Mr, Montgomerys There are being transmitted to you herewith the following items; 1. Offer doted October 15, 1952 to the Union Pacific Railroad Company; Lea Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad Company; and Las Vegas Land and Water Company from the Las Vegas Valley Water District. This substitutes and replaces the original offer dated August 25, 1952 and contain! certain revisions that were recently agreed upon between the District and representatives of the Railroad Company at a meeting which you attended In Las Vegas several weeks ago . 2. The Agreement relative to rights-of-way and easements and removal of pipe lines and referred to in Paragraph (e) of the offer and which Agreement is marked Exhibit i is also enclosed with several copies. 3« Both the Offer and said Exhibit B refer to the map which is enclosed. This is the only copy of said map that we have. The changes suggested in your letter of October 10, 1952 have been written In at about the middle of Section 9 of Exhibit 1 on Page 5 thereof. One copy of the map which is marked Exhibit "A* must be attached to and accompany the offer. There should also be several other identical copies of this map, viz,; Water District files Attorney Leo McNamee * James Montgomery. Accordingly, will you arrange to have the Union Pacific make duplicate copies of this map for the above purpose. in the latter connection, It may be that the Railroad Company will request the District to submit the offer In quadruplicate. In that case, if they want an official map attached to each set, then if would be necessary to obtain sufficient number of additional copies for this purpose.
