    a. Approximately 2,700 LF of 8" cast iron water mains. b. Approximately 5,400 LF of 6" cast iron water mains. c. Approximately 132 LF of 6" cast iron fire hydrant connections. The cost of constructing said water mains (exclusive of cost of constructing fire hydrant connections) is the agreed sum of $28,257.00. 2. Said water mains shall he constructed of 6tt and 8“ Class 150 B & S cast iron pipe and shall he in accordance with Federal specifications WWP 421 Type 1. All joints shall he cement. All fittings shall he new, all hell cast iron equal to ASA Stand­ard Class 250* All valves shall he double disk, parallel seat hronze mountings conforming to AWWA standards, not less than 175 lbs., and all valve boxes shall he of cast iron of appropriate size for each valve. Unless otherwise approved by a duly author­ized representative of the Company, all pipe valves and fittings shall he manufactured by the Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Company or Mueller Company. All pipe lines shall he chlorinated in accordance with AWWA specifications, shall he subject to the approv al and acceptance of State and City Health Authorities, and shall he constructed at an elevation to he designated by a duly author­ized representative of the Company, hut in no event shall there he less than 36” of covering over such water mains. All workmanship, material and installation of said water mains shall he subject to the approval and acceptance of a duly authorized representative of the Company. - 2 -
