On the same program, "Texf Black-man will speak briefly on the subject of Rotary Classifications. * * * * * * * * * * * LAST WEEK Last week our guest speaker was Tom Wilson, head of the Wilson Adver-tising Agency and a member of Reno Rotary Club.... Ton spoke on the Harold's Club advertisements depict-ing many thrilling incidents of early Nevada history, which his agency pre-pared. He told many interesting stories of early Nevada, including the one about hq the State Capitol came to be located at Carson City in-stead of at Virginia City, which at that time was the great city of Nevada. Buck Newsom, in the absence of Max Kelch, gave a summary of the latest Radio news. * * * * * * * * * * * NEXT WEEK For next week, Program ChpigTaan Ed Converse has secured another "Four X7' program, in Edwin Merrow's "I Can Hear It Non". Reno Rotary Club has about 150 mem-bers, among them several who were once members of Las Vegas Rotary. The guest speaker was Jerry L. Pettis, special assistant to Presi-dent Patterson of United Air Lines, who made a very interesting talk on the general subject of air travel. We hope Mr. Pettis may be induced to speak to Las Vegas Rotary some day. Among our friends from Las Vegas at the Reno meeting were Maj Sweeney who was making up: and A1 Adams and Fred Bartlett, former members of Las Vegas Rotary. The Reno Club has about 150 mem-bers and its programs are well con- _dueted. Among other things they an- -^eetj WHEEL OF city meetings at Lake Tahoe and other of the nearby communities... But we still think Las Vegas has them teat for a delightful place in which to meet, although Reno now meets in Hotel Mapes, which is quite an improvement. Incidentally, many of our Reno friends of the past forty years are members of Reno Rotary Club. * * * * * * * * * * * * VISITING ROTARIANS We were pleased to have five Rotar-ians, members of other clubs, attend our meeting last week.
