LAST WEEK Kiwanis and Rotary last week divided the honors and the responsi-bility of conducting the joint meet-ing of the two clubs and carrying out the customary Easter Service. The honors of presiding were equally divided between Kiwanis President Paul Hammel» of Kiwanis, and Leonard Fayle, of Rotary. The Easter season was very hap-pily commemorated by Monsignor John J. Lambe, who gave a very appropri-ate and beautiful sermon honoring the season. The large gathering of members of the two clubs was happily enter-tained by the Rotary Club's most favorite entertainers, the Sullivan Sisters, who, among other things, gave an original song: Leonard Payle, Leonard Fayle! This year, it is announced, that the nominating committee will gather at Joe McC&iilkin's place of business some day in the near fu-ture, to list the accomplishments WHEEL OF of Rotary workers. At a later meeting we will vote to select the most out-standing Rotarian of the year. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * MAX K3LCH Maxwell Kelch, owner and manager of Radio Station KENO and a leading mem-ber of Las Vegas Rotary Club, was "written up" in a recent issue of Red Book as one of the West's successful "business men. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * IN THE HOSPITAL It was reported to this editor that Les Edwards was in Las Vegas Hospital Interviewed on the sub-ject, Rotarian Doc McDaniel assures us that Les is still in the hospital as usual, "but that reports of his illness, if any, are grossly exaggerated. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * KEN WAS HERE Ken Tinsley, after a long siege in the hospital, was able to attend Rotary meeting last week. We are all happy that Ken is able to meet with us again. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * A BUSY GUY We are informed that Rotarian Dail Phelps is so busy that he even had to have his wife appear to accept a"P.T.A.
