GREENSPUN Notary Public in and for Clark County, Nevada My Commission Expires Mar. 17, 1960 ORDINANCE NO, 751 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 1, OF ORDINANCE NO. 733, DEALING WITH THE SALE OF INTOXICATING LIQUORS BY PROVIDING THE LOCATION WHERE TAVERNS MAY BE MAINTAINED; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Section 4, Chapter 16, Code of Las Vegas, Nevada, 1949, as last amended by Section 1 of Ordinance 733, is hereby further amended to read as follows: Taverns may be maintained only in that portion of the City of Las Vegas bounded by Main Street on the west, Ogden Street on the north, 2nd Street on the east, Carson Street on the south; and on 5th Street between Oakey Boulevard and San Francisco Avenue; and on Jackson Street from 100 feet east of "D" Street to 100 feet west of "F" Street; and on "D" Street from Monroe to Van Buren; and on each side of Charleston Boulevard, commencing at the intersection of East Charleston Boulevard and Fremont Street and extending westerly along Charleston Boulevard, a distance of 1000 feet; and on each side of South Main Street from the south line of Charleston Boulevard to the intersection of South Fifth and South Main at St. Louis. Nothing contained in this ordinance shall be interpreted to permit taverns in any areas above described without complying with the Zoning Ordinance. SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. Any person who violates any provision of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not more than $500.00, or six months in the City Jail or both, in addition to any other penalties which may be imposed by any other ordinances of the City of Las Vegas. SECTION 4. The City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas shall cause this ordinance to be published once a week for two successive weeks immediately following its first reading and adoption in the Las Vegas Sun, a daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas.
