Richard Lochrie, being first duly sworn, deposes and says: That he is Foreman of the LAS VEGAS MORNING SUN, a daily newspaper of general circulation, printed and published at Las Vegas, in the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the attached was continuously published in said newspaper for a period of two weeks from December 28, 1955 to January 3, 1956 inclusive, being the issues of said newspaper for the following f dates to-wit; December 28, 1955 January 3, 1956. /s/ RICHARD LOCHRIE Subscribed and sworn to before me this 5th day of January, 1956 /s/ BARBARA J. GREENSPUN Notary Public In and For Clark County, Nevada My Commission Expires Mar. 17, 1956 ORDINANCE NO. 684 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 2k, SECTION 19, CODE OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, 1949, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 570 BY PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC OR SEMI PUBLIC PARKING AREAS IN AN R-4 USE DISTRICT; PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS RELATED THERETO; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Chapter 24, Section 19, Code of Las Vegas, Nevada, 1949 as amended by Ordinance No. 570 is further amended by adding a new sub paragraph to be designated A—8 (f) which shall read as follows: Public or semi-public parking area for the use of patrons or residents in the immediate vicinity thereof when located and developed as required in Section 12 of this Chapter, provided that no buildings for such purposes shall be permitted for more than one story in height. SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its publication as in the next section provided, and final passage. SECTION 4. The City Clerk and the Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas shall cause this ordinance to be published once a week for two successive weeks immediately following its first reading and adoption in the Las Vegas Sun, a daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas. BAKER, Mayor SHIRLEY BALLINGER, City Clerk The above and foregoing ordinance was first proposed and read by title to the Board of Commissioners on the 9th day of December, 1955 and referred to the following committee composed of Commissioners Fountain and Sharp for recommendation; thereafter the said committee reported favorably on said ord­inance on the 21st day of December, 1955 which was the regular meeting held on said day; that at said regular meeting held on said day the proposed ordinance was read in full to the Board of Com­missioners as first introduced and adopted by the following vote: Voting "Aye": Commissioners Sharp,Whipple and Mayor Baker Voting "Nay": None Absent: Commissioners Bunker and Fountain APPROVED: /s/ C.D.
