Schellack, being first duly sworn , deposes, and says: That he if Foreman of the LAS VEGAS REVIEW JOURNAL, a daily newspaper, of general circulation, printed and published at Las Vegas, in the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the attached was continuously published in said newspaper for a period of two insertions from July 26, 1954 to August 2, 1954, inclusive being the issues of said newspaper for the following dates, to-wit: July 26, August 2, 1954. That said newspaper was regularly issued and circulated on each of the dates above named. Signed: s/ A. F. Schellack Subscribed and sworn to before me this 2nd day of August, 1954 Neola Gierhart My Commission Expires April 14, 1957 Notary Public in and For Clark County, Nevada ORDINANCE NO. 617 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION IV OF ORDINANCE NO. 378, REFERRED TO AS SECTION 10, CHAPTER 24 OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE, 1949, BY AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN MAP ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, AND CHANGING THE ZONE DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN AREAS ON THE SAID MAP. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. The Land Use Plan Map adopted by Section IV of Ordinance No. 378, also referred to as Section 10, Chapter 24, Code of the City of Las Vegas, 1949, is hereby amended to read as follows: (a) FROM R-1 to R-4: A portion of the N½, SE¼, Sec. 27, T20S, R6lE, MDB&M. This property is generally described as located west of North 5th and south of Washington Avenue, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of the Biltmore Addition Annex No. 1 as shown by map thereof on file in Book 2, Page 40 of Plats, in the office of the County Recorder of Clark County, Nevada; thence North 27°45’00" East along the Northerly prolongation of the West line of said Biltmore Addition Annex No. 1 a distance of 193.54 feet to a point distant south 27°45'00” West 28.60 feet from the l/4 Section line thereof; thence North 88°42'00" East a distance of 81.03 feet to a point; thence Easterly along a curve concave to the North, having a radius of 249.57 feet, a central angle of l8°12’40", an arc length of 79.32 feet to a point; thence Easterly along a curve concave to the South, having a radius of 249.57 feet, a central angle of l8°12"40", an arc length of 79.32 feet to a point in the l/4 Section line thereof, Thence North 88°42'00" East along the l/4 Section line a distance of 583.40 feet to the Northwest comer of that certain parcel of land owned by the Southern Nevada Power Company and described in Document #172603, Clark County, Nevada, Records; thence South 0°03'22' East along the West line of the parcel of land described in said Document #172603, a distance of 133.70 feet to a point; thence South. 88°42'00" West parallel with the aforementioned l/4 Section line a distance of 212.15 feet to a point in the Northerly prolongation of the East line of the said Biltmore Addition Annex No. 1; thence South 9°43'20" West along the last mentioned prolonged East line a distance of 112.23 feet to the Northeast corner of the said Biltmore Addition Annex No. 1; thence South 88°13'50" West along the North line of the said Biltmore Addition Annex No. 1 a distance of 580.00 feet to the angle point thereof; thence North 62°15' West a distance of 112.00 feet to the point of beginning. (b) FROM R-3 to C-2: The Northeasterly 100 feet of that portion of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 35, Township 20 South, Range 6l East, generally described as located between Sunrice Avenue and 21st Street, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the East line of Block 3 (3) of Church Addition as shown by map thereof on file in Book 2 of Plats, Page 7, Clark County, Nevada, Records, with the Northerly line of Fremont Street (90 feet wide); thence South 62°02,30" East along the last mentioned northerly line of Fremont Street a distance of 732.76 feet to a point in the South line of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 35; thence South 89°55'25" East along the last mentioned South line a distance of 19.53 feet to a point in the East line of said Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 35; thence North 0°58'20" East along the last mentioned East line a distance of 270.30 feet to a point; thence North 62°02'30" West parallel with and distant thereon North 27°57'30" East 250 feet from the aforementioned Northerly line of Fremont Street a distance of 757.52 feet to a point in the said East line of block three (3) of Church Addition; thence South 0°27'15" West along the last mentioned East line a distance of 281.86 feet to the point of beginning. The said Northeasterly 100' being measured at right angles from Northeasterly line thereof. SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its final reading and adoption and final publication as in the next section provided. SECTION 4. The City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas shall cause this ordinance to be published once a week for two successive weeks Immediately following its first reading and adoption in the Las Vegas Review Journal, a daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas.
