AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 17 OF ORDINANCE NO. 378, REFEREED TO AS SECTION 10, CHAPTER 24, OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE, 1949, BY AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN MAP ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, AND CHANGING THE ZONE DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN AREAS ON THE SAID MAP. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. The Land Use Plan Map adopted by Section IV of Ordinance No. 378, also referred to as Section 10, Chapter 24, Code of the City of Las Vegas, 1949, is hereby amended to read as follows: (a) FROM R-1 to R-4. A portion of the SE¼ NE¼ Sec. 27, T20S, R6lE, MDB&M. This property is generally located north of the Helen Stewart School, between 5th and Main Streets, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the E¼ corner of Sec. 27, T20S, R6lE, MDB&M, thence West along said one-quarter section line 675 feet to a point, said point being the true point of beginning, thence continuing west along the said one-quarter section line 333 feet to a point; thence northerly 581 feet to a point; thence easterly 90 feet to a point thence southerly 44l feet to the true point of beginning. Beginning at the E¼ corner of Sec. 27, T20S, R6lE, MDB&M, thence West along said one-quarter section line 1005 feet to a point, said point being the true point of beginning, thence continuing west along said one-quarter section line 330 feet to a point, thence northerly 283 feet to a point, thence easterly 321 feet to a point thence southerly 281 feet to the true point of beginning. A portion of the W½ of the S½ of the NE¼ of Sec. 27, T20S, R6lE, lying east of Main Street. This property is generally described as 1022 North Main Street, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the center section corner of Sec. 27; thence east along the EW¼ Section line to a point where said line intersects with the easterly right-of-way line of Main Street; thence North 89°12' East, 315.70 feet to the point of beginning; thence North 5°38' West a distance of 132.30 feet to a point; thence North 60°47'20" West to a distance of 44.23' to a point, thence North 28°15’ east a distance of 307' plus or minus a point; thence south 0°15’ west a distance of 150' to a point; thence south 89°53' east a distance of l46 feet to a point; thence south 10°59' east a distance of 296 feet to a true point of beginning. (b) FROM R-E to R-1: The NE¼ SE¼ Sec. 30, T20S, R6lE, MDB&M. (c) FROM R-4 to C-2: Lots 7 and 8, Block 13, HFM&N Add'n. This property is generally located on the southwest comer of Monroe and E. Streets SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its final reading and adoption, and final publication as in the next section provided. SECTION 4. The City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas shall cause this ordinance to be published once a week for two successive weeks immediately following its first reading and adoption in the Las Vegas Review Journal, a daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas. Baker City Clerk Mayor The above and foregoing ordinance was first proposed and read by title to the Board of Commissioners on the 19th day of May, 1954, and referred to the following committee composed of Commissioners Sharp and Whipple for recommendation; thereafter the said committee reported favorably on said ordinance on the 2nd day of June, 1954, which was the regular meeting held on the 2nd day of June, 1954, and at said regular meeting held on said day, the proposed ordinance was read in full to the Board of Commissioners as first introduced and adopted by the following vote: Those voting "Aye": Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp,Whipple and His Honor Mayor Baker.
