    STATE OF NEVADA ) COUNTY OF CLARK ) SS# Richard Lochrie, being first duly sworn, deposes and says: That he is Foreman of the LAS VEGAS MORNING SUN, a daily newspaper of general circulation, printed and published at Las Vegas, in the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the attached was continuously published in said newspaper for a period of two weeks from December 19, 1953 to December 28, 1953 inclusive, being the issues of said newspaper for the following dates, to-wit: December 19, 28, 1953 That said newspaper was regularly issued and circulated on each of the dates above named. Greenspun________ My Commission Expires Mar. 17, 1956 Notary Public in and for Clark County, Nevada ORDINANCE NO. 583 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 36, SECTION 116, CODE OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 396, AND ORDINANCE NO. 429 BY EXTENDING PARKING METER ZONES WITHIN THE CITY; PROVIDING FOR OTHER MATTERS PRO­PERLY RELATED THERETO; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 36, Section 116, Code of Las Vegas, Nevada, 1949 as amended by Section 1, Ordinance No. 396, and by Section 1, Ordinance No. 429, is hereby further amended to read as follows: The following named and described areas, streets or portions of streets and such other areas, streets or portions of streets as may hereafter be included in this Section by amendment hereto, lying within the corporate limits of the City, shall constitute a parking meter zone, namely: On Fremont Street from Main Street to 9th Street; on Carson Avenue from Main Street to 7th Street; on Ogden Avenue from Main Street to 7th Street; on Bridger Avenue from Main Street to 7th Street; on Stewart Avenue from Main Street to 7th Street; on Main Street from Bridger Avenue to Washington Avenue; on First Street from Bridger Avenue to the Police Station; on Second and Third Streets from Bridger Avenue to Stewart Avenue; on Fourth Street from Bridger Avenue to Mesquite Ave­nue; on Fifth Street from Bridger Avenue to Stewart Avenue; the area on the Clark County Courthouse grounds cleared and designated for parking use. All frontage on such streets and areas defining said zones are to be included therein. Section 2. Ordinances Nos. 396 and 429 are hereby expressly repealed, and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are also repealed. Section 3. If any one or more sections, sentences, clauses or parts of this Ordinance shall, for any reason, be questioned or be held invalid such judgement shall not affect, impair or invalidate the remaining provisions of this Ordinance, but shall be confined in its operation to the specific sec­tions, sentences, clauses or parts of this Ordinance so held unconstitutional and invalid, and the in­applicability and invalidity of any section, sentence, clause or part of this Ordinance, in any one or more instances shall not affect or prejudice in any way the applicability and validity of this Ordinance in any other instances. Section 4. All Ordinances, or parts of Ordinances, in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance, are hereby repealed. Section 5. The City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas shall cause this Ordinance to be published once a week for two successive weeks immediately following its final reading and adoption, in the Las Vegas Sun, a daily newspaper published in said City, and this Ordin­ance shall become effective immediately following the second publication hereof. Baker_ City Clerk Mayor The above and foregoing ordinance was first proposed and read by title to the Board of Commis­sioners on the 2nd day of December, 1953 and referred to the following committee composed of Commissioners Bunker and Jarrett for recommendation; thereafter the said committee reported favorably on said ordinance on the 16th day of December, 1953 which was the regular meeting held on the 15th day of December, 1953 that at said regular meeting held on the 16th day of December, 1953, the proposed ordinance was read in full to the Board of Commissioners as amended and adopted by the following vote: Voting "Aye": Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Whipple and Mayor Baker Voting "Nay": None Absent: None Passed Vote: Commissioner Sharp ATTEST: APPROVED: Shirley Ballinger___________ ___________________________________C.
