Each assessment, together with interest thereon, shall be placed on the tax roll of Clark County on and against the several owners and premises, and the County Assessor of Clark County, acting Ex-officio Assessor of the City of Las Vegas, is hereby authorized and directed to enter the same on the tax roll of said County and to extend the same in a special column for special assessments on said tax roll, and the County Treasurer of said County, the Ex-officio City Treasurer and Ex-officio Tax Collector of the City of Las Vegas, is hereby authorized and directed to collect the same, all in the same manner and at the same time as other State and County taxes are collected. SECTION 2. That by reason of the fact that the sewer system of the City of Las Vegas in inadequate to meet the present and future needs of the City and its inhabitants and that it is necessary immediately to raise funds to extend said sewer system, therefore, it is hereby declared that an emergency exists, and this ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas shall cause this ordinance to be published once a week for two successive weeks immediately following its final reading and adoption, in the Las Vegas Sun, a daily newspaper published in said City, and this ordinance shall become effective immediately following the second publication hereof. Greenspun_______ My Commission expires March 17, 1956 Notary Public in and for Clark County, Nevada ORDINANCE NO. 551 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION IV OF ORDINANCE NO. 378 REFERRED TO AS SECTION 10, CHAPTER 24 OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE, 1949, BY AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN MAP ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, AND CHANGING THE ZONE DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN AREAS ON SAID MAP. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. The Land Use Plan Map adopted by Section IV of Ordinance No. 378, also referred to as Section 10, Chapter 24, Code of Las Vegas, Nevada, 1949, is hereby amended to read as follows: From R-3 to K-4 Lots 1 to 12, inclusive, and Lots 27 to 36 inclusive in Block 3; Lots 25 to 36 inclusive in Block 6; and Lots 1 to 8 inclusive in Block 5, all in the Meadows Addition to the City of Las Vegas. SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. The City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas shall cause this ordinance to be published once a week for two successive weeks in the Las Vegas Review-Journal news- paper published in the City of Las Vegas. s/______C.
