    SECTION 11. Said salary and all expenses incurred by Said Dairy and Milk Inspector shall be borne equitably in a manner approved by the Milk Ordinance Committee by the milk producers and milk distributors who have been granted a permit as herein provided, and said salary and expenses shall be paid monthly to the City Clerk to the City of Las Vegas. All expenses for inspections and treatments shall be paid by the owners or operators of the dairy herds of cows being inspected. Section 12. Any person violating any of the provision this ordinance shall, upon conviction be punished by a fine of not less than ten dollars ($10.00) nor more than two hundred dollars ($200.00), or by imprisonment in the City Jail for a period of not less than five (5) days nor more than one hundred (100) days, or by both such fine and imprison­ment. Proposed, read alound in full, and adopted this 15th day of June, 1933, by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Arnett, Mundy and German, and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes none. Published in the Las Vegas Review-Journal. a daily newspaper (except Sunday) pub­lished in the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, once a week for two weeks, to-wit: June 17 and June 24, 1933. Read the second time and passed this 5th day of July, 1933, by the following vote: Commissioners Munry, Arnett, German and Down, and His Honor, the Mayor voting aye. Noes none. AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE SLAUGHTERING OF ANIMALS AND SANITARY CONDITIONS OF ALL PLACES DISPENSING FOOD AND REFRESHMENTS TO THE PUBLIC; PROVIDING FOR THE INSPECTION OF MEATS AND HEAT PRODUCTS TO BE POSSESSED AND SOLD IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS; PROHIBITING THE SAME AND POSSESSION OF UNINSPECTED MESTS FOR HUMAN FOOD; AUTHORIZING THE APPOINTMENT OF MEAT INSPECTORS; PROHIBITING THE SALE OF MEAT AND MEAT PRODUCTS BY UNLICENSED ESTABLISHMENTS AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas do ordain as follows: Section 1. It shall be unlawful for nay person, firm, association or corporation to have, keep, sell or expose for sale for human food, or to have in possession to be used for human food in the City of Las Vegas, the flesch of any cattle, calves, sheep, swine or goats unless the same shall have been inspected and passed in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance; provided, however, that this ordinance shall be deemed to have been com­plied with in cases where cattle, calves, sheep, swine or goats are slaughtered and stamped under the supervision of the United States Bureau of Animal Industry in accordance with the regulations relating to the inspection of meat as prescribed by the Department of Agriculture of the United States; provided that this ordinance shall been deemed to have been complied with in cases where cattle, calves, sheep, swine or goats are slaughtered and stamped in establishments operating under a city, county, or state inspection system meeting all the requirements of this ordinance.
