    AFFIDAVIT 0F PUBLICATION. STATE 0F NEVADA : : SS COUNTY OF CLARK : CHAS. P. SQUIRES, being first duly sworn, deposes and says: That he is publisher of the Las Vegas Age, a weekly newspaper, of general circulation, printed and published at Las Vegas, in the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the attached Ordinance No. 161 of the City of Las Vegas Nevada was continuously published in said newspaper for a period of one week inclusive being the issues of said newspaper for the following dates to-wit: July 7, 1923, That said newspaper was regularly issue and circulated on each of the dates above named. That the charge for publishing the same was $ Signed Chas. P. Squires Subscribed and sworn to before me this 11th day of August, 1923. Florence S. Doherty City Clerk, Las Nevada. ORDINANCE NO. 102 An Ordinance to amend Subdivision number 8 of section 2 of ordinance No. 81 of the City of Las Vegas, entitled "An Ordinance to amend Section Seven (7) of Ordinance No. 48 of the City of Las Vegas, entitled "An Ordinance of the City of Las Vegas, licensing, for the purpose of regulation and revenue, every kind of lawful business hereinafter specified, transacted or carried on within the corporation limits of the City of Las Vegas, State of Nevada, fixing the rates of license tax upon the same and providing for the collection of said license tax, and a punishment for carrying on or conducting any such business without a license, and repealing Ordinances Nos, 1, 2, 4, 13, 14, and 35, approved December 3, 1913, and amended Dec. 13, 1915 by ordinance No. 62 of the City of Las Vegas, and further amended March 5, 1919 by Ordinance No. 74 of the City of Las Vegas, and to amend section 6 of said ordinance No. 48 as created by said Ordinance No. 74, and repealing all ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict therewith." The Board of Commissioners of teh City of Las Vegas do Ordain as follows: Section 1. Subdivision number 8 of said Ordinance No. 81 is hereby amended so the the same shall read as follows: (8) For each brokerage establishment----------------------------------------------$30.00 Per quarter For every banker or bank with a capital of $100,000 or over------------------------------------------------------------------$30.00 " " For every banker or bank with a capital of less than $100,000 --------------------------------------------------------------$15.00 " " Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the 31st day of December, 1923, and after the passage thereof shall be published for a period of one week (one issue) in the Las Vegas Age, a weekly newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas. Passed by the Board of City Commissioners this 26th day of November, 1923, upon the following vote: Commissioners Anderson, Shield, Elwell and His Honor the Mayor W. C. German voting aye, Noes, none.
