    Commissioner Whipple moved Regular Payroll Warrants Nos. 44900 to 45458, in the net amount of $84,184.80, for the pay period January 1 - January 15, 1960, be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor, Mayor Gragson, voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Fountain moved Service & Material Warrants Nos. 4o83 to 4291 in the net amount of $138,504.77 be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor, Mayor Gragson, voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Fountain moved the minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 6, 1960, be approved by reference and the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign the same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Elwell and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, and His Honor, Mayor Gragson, voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple passed his vote. Commissioner Whipple moved the following Charitable Solicitations Permits, as approved by the Solicitations Review Board, be approved, and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the permits: American Cancer Society - Governor's Ball, Automobile Raffle, Direct Solicitation American Legion Unit #8 - Flag sale Nevada Heart Assoc. - Direct Solicitation for Funds Musicians' Protective Union - Symphony Concert Rose De Lima Hospital Aux. - Raffle and Dinner Dance St. Christopher's Episcopal Church - Rummage Sale Stardust Hotel Charities Foundation - Basketball Tournament United Fund of Clark County - Appreciation Ball Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor, Mayor Gragson, voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple moved the following Charitable Solicitations Permit be denied, as recommended by the Solicitations Review Board. Police Athletic League - Raffle Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor, Mayor Gragson, voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Elwell moved the following applications for additional gaming licenses be approved and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the licenses: Desert Aire Restaurant 636 N. Chrlstn Harry Levy 1 Pin Ball Ace Liquor 22 Fremont C & L Enterprises 1 Pin Ball Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor, Mayor Gragson, voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Fountain moved the application of William Gallagher for a package liquor and beer bar license at Sports Liquor Store, 419 N. Main, be approved, on the basis of favorable police report, and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the license. Motion seconded by Commissioner Elwell and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor, Mayor Gragson, voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Elwell moved the application of Marie Louise Mohs for a Restaurant and Beverage License at Tony's Cafe, 410 W. Bonanza, be approved on the basis of favorable police report and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the license. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor, Mayor Gragson, voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple moved the application of Chris Economake for a Restaurant and Beverage License for the Lake Company, dba Tip Top, at 5th & Charleston, be approved on the basis of favorable police report, and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the license.
