H. Kennedy Commissioner William H. Elwell City Attorney Calvin Cory Commissioner E. W. Fountain Acting City Clerk R. F. Boos Commissioner Harris P. Sharp Absent: Mayor C. D. Baker ASSESSMENT DISTRICT Commissioner Sharp moved that the following resolution to publish notice of sale 100-43 of bonds for Assessment District 100-43, Main Street Lighting; Bonanza to Owens, be adopted and order made: Main St. Lighting; Bonanza to Owens RESOLUTION Resolution to Publish WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas have taken steps Notice of Sale of to create certain public improvements within the City of Las Vegas alias described Bonds Adopted in Ordinance No. 788; and WHEREAS, the time has now arrived to authorize and direct the Acting City Clerk to advertise for the sale of bonds all in accordance with the proceedings heretofore taken to construct said improvements by special assessment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas at a special meeting thereof held on the 9th day of June, 1959, that the Acting City Clerk and the Clerk of the Board of Commissioners be and he is hereby directed to publish notice that the Board of Commissioners will receive bids for bonds for Special Assessment District No. 100-43 in an amount equal to the unpaid assessments after the completion of the cash payment period of four weeks. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Acting City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners be and he hereby is directed to publish notice of the receipt of bids for said bonds by publication for five consecutive weeks, one week apart in the Las Vegas Review Journal, a daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Acting City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners be directed to publish in the said notice that the bids for said bonds will be received until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, the 15th day of July, 1959, and that said bids will be opened at 8:00 p.m. or thereabouts on said day. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said notice shall be in substantially the form attached to this resolution and made a part hereof.
