RESOLUTION OF ACCEPTANCE OF QUITCLAIM DEED On motion of Commissioner E. W. Fountain, duly seconded by Commissioner Harris P. Sharp, and carried unanimously, the following Resolution is adopted, and order made: BE IT RESOLVED, this 20th day of May, 1959, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, that the deed, dated the 1st day of May, 1959, executed by Nevada Sierra Baptist Convention to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the real property described therein be, and is hereby accepted, for the purposes of street; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said deed, and that the same be recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and this resolution be filed in the records of this Board. BID NO. 59.18 The Commission considered the recommendation of the Public Works Department that Bid Moving, Construction of No. 59.18 received from Vegas Trucking and Moving Co., 2851 Cedar Street, in the Floor Slab & Footing for amount of $5000.00 be rejected as being above the Engineer's estimate. This bid Building for Salvation covered only the moving of the building and no work on the foundation construction. Army Shelter Commissioner Sharp moved that Bid No. 59.18 received from the Vegas Trucking and Rejected Moving Company, in the amount of $5000.00 for the moving of the building for the Salvation Army Shelter be rejected as being above the Engineer's estimate. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor C. D. Baker. BID NO. 59.19 The Commission considered the recommendation of the Public Works Department that City Hall Entrance Bid No. 59.19 for the City Hall Entrance Lighting be awarded to the Acme Electric Lighting Co., 308 Wall Street, Las Vegas, in the total amount of $1,415.00. This was the lowest of two bids received at the bid opening held May 6, 1959. Held in Abeyance Commissioner Sharp moved that the award of Bid No. 59.19, City Hall Entrance Lighting be held in abeyance. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor C. D. Baker. SEWER CONNECTION AT Commissioner Sharp moved that the request of the Public Works Department to REHABILITATION FARM advertise for bids to be opened June 17, 1959, for furnishing labor, materials and CENTER equipment to install a sewer line from the Police Rehabilitation Farm Building to the sewage disposal plant at an estimated cost of $3,300.60 be approved. Approved to go to Bid June 17, 1959 Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor C. D. Baker. STREET LIGHTING; HINSON Commissioner Sharp moved that the request of the Public Works Department to STREET, CHARLESTON NORTH advertise for bids to be opened June 17, 1959, for furnishing labor, materials and TO HYDE PARK RECREATION equipment for installation of mercury arc, steel pole street lights on Hinson AREA Street north of West Charleston Boulevard at an estimated cost of $2,400.00 be approved. Approved to go to Bid June 17, 1959 Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. PEST CONTROL CONTRACT Commissioner Fountain moved that the request of the Public Works Department to advertise for bids to be opened June 3, 1959, for Pest Control Contract be approved.
