OPTION AGREEMENT City Manager Kennedy presented the request for renewal on the Option Agreement of Dr. Dr. Chester H. Lyon Chester H. Lyon for property at 28th Street and Charleston Boulevard. Mr. Kennedy Renewal stated that the requested renewal of the option is for 5 acres in lieu of the former option for approximately 15 acres. , Held in Abeyance After some discussion Commissioner Fountain moved that this matter be held in abeyance pending additional information. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. PURCHASE REQUISITIONS City Manager Kennedy requested the approval of Purchase Requisition No. 4084 to Fire Truck Repair Seagrave-Hirsch, Inc., 2859 East 50th Street, Los Angeles 58, California, in the estimated amount of $4,500.00 for the repair and reconditioning of the fire truck recently damaged; and Approved Purchase Requisition No. 4083 to the Ringsby Truck Lines, 231 W. Utah Avenue, in the amount of $313.6, for the freight charges from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. This expense should be recovered when settlement is made by the insurance company. Commissioner Bunker moved that Purchase Requisition No. 4084 to Seagrave-Hirsch, Inc., 2859 East 50th Street, Los Angeles 58, California in the estimated amount of $4,500.00 for the repair and reconditioning of the fire truck recently damaged; and Purchase Requisition No. 4083 to the Ringsby Truck Lines, 231 W. Utah Avenue in the amount of $313.76, for the freight charges from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. CHILD WELFARE BOARD City Manager Kennedy presented a letter of resignation from the Child Welfare Board RESIGNATION submitted by Phyllis Millenbah requesting that her resignation become effective immediately Phyllis Millenbah due to additional employment responsibilities. Accepted Commissioner Sharp moved that this resignation be accepted end instructed the City Clerk to write a letter to Miss Millenbah in appreciation of her services. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. ORDINANCE NO. 784 An Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION IV OF ORDINANCE NO. 378, REFERRED Rezoning (Z-14-58) TO AS SECTION 10, CHAPTER 24, CODE OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, 1949, BY AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN MAP ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, AND CHANGING THE ZONING DESIGNATION OF A Adopted CERTAIN AREA OF THE SAID MAP, having been reported on favorably by Commissioners Bunker and Fountain, committee for recommendation, was read in full to the Board. Commissioner Bunker moved the above entitled Ordinance No. 784 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. PROPOSED ORDINANCE An Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION IV OF ORDINANCE NO. 378, REFERRED TO Rezoning Ordinance AS SECTION 10, CHAPTER 24, CODE OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, 1949, BY AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN (Z-15-58 & Z-13-58) MAP ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, AND CHANGING THE ZONING DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN AREAS OF THE SAID MAP, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Bunker and Sharp for Referred to Committee recommendation. PROPOSED ORDINANCE An Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 24, SECTION 26, CODE OF LAS VEGAS, Setback Ordinance AS AMENDED, BY ADDING THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM BUILDING LINE SETBACK AND STREET WIDTH LINE ON SOUTH SECOND STREET BETWEEN WYOMING AND OAKEY TO THOSE SETBACKS ALREADY ESTABLISHED BY ORDINANCE; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF; AND PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Sharp and Whipple for recommendation. PROPOSED ORDINANCE An Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTIONS 6 AND 7 OF PART III OF ORDINANCE Building Code NO. 778 REFERRED TO AS THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, 1958 EDITION, VOLUME 1, BY ADOPTING Amendment SECTIONS 1602 (a) AND 1603 (a) RELATING TO RESTRICTIONS IN FIRE ZONES 1 AND 2; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH, was read by title Referred to Committee and referred to Commissioners Fountain and Sharp for recommendation.
