On motion of Commissioner Fountain, duly seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried unanimously, the following resolution is adopted and order made: RESOLUTION OF ACCEPTANCE OF QUITCLAIM DEED On motion of Commissioner E.W. Fountain, duly seconded by Commissioner Harris P. Sharp, and carried unanimously, the following Resolution is adopted, and order made: BE IT RESOLVED, this 17 day of July, 1957; by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, that the deed, dated the 7th day of July, 1957; executed by Charles A. Lasky and Dorothy G. Lasky to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the real property described therein be, and is hereby accepted, for the purposes of streets; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said deed, and that the same be recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and this resolution be filed in the records of this Board. Commissioner Fountain moved the following applications for permits for Charitable Solicitation, as recommended by the Solicitations Review Board be approved and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the permits: LAS VEGAS ART LEAGUE CLARK COUNTY BASEBALL FOR YOUTH, INC. SPORTSCAR CLUB OF AMERICA PREWIN, INC. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. City Manager Kennedy presented the application of the Variety Club for a charitable solicitation permit for the annual "Night of Stars". Mr. Kennedy reported that this application has not been presented to the Solicitations Review Board, but recommended its approval subject to consideration by that Board. Commissioner Sharp moved the application of the Variety Club for a Charitable Solicitation Permit for the Annual "Night of Stats" be approved, subject to approval by the Solicitations Review Board. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. Commissioner Sharp voted "Aye" on all applications except the application of The Mint, and disqualified himself from voting by declaring that his firm was the architect for this building. City Manager Kennedy reported that the application of Don Nagley for the Restaurant Beverage license at the Red & White Cafe, 801 South 1st Street, formerly issued to Robert C. Brodine, Jr. had been checked by the Police Department and was recommended favorably. Commissioner Sharp moved the application of Don Nagley for a Restaurant Beverage license at the Red & White Cafe, 801 South 1st Street be approved and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the license.
