    City Manager Kennedy reported that a meeting had been held with the New Car Dealers Association concerning the method of reporting their sales in order to determine the license fees. Mr. Kennedy requested that the Commission adopt a resolution setting out that these Dealers pay on the total sales of new cars and retail parts. The Commission requested that this resolution be prepared and presented at the next regular meeting. Commissioner Whipple moved the application of William H. Covey for a Restaurant Beverage li­cense at the Coffee Pot, 18 Garces be approved and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the license. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Sharp moved the application of the Marriage Counselor Service of Clark County for a Solicitation Permit, as approved by the Solicitations Review Board, be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. City Manager Kennedy stated that the Clark County Humane Society had agreed to sign over their property to the City. Mr. Kennedy requested that authorization be granted to issue a check in the amount of $1,540.13 to the Internal Revenue for withholding taxes. Commissioner Fountain moved this request be granted and a warrant in the amount of $1,540.13 to the Internal Revenue Department authorized. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Sharp passed his vote. The Commission considered the application of John Funk for the Tavern Liquor license for Duffy's Tavern, 1815 South 5th Street, formerly issued to Joe Schram, C. G. Hoover and Frank Costanzo. Commissioner Bunker moved the application of John Funk for the Tavern Liquor license for Duffy's Tavern be approved and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the license. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. There being no further business to come before the meeting, Commissioner Bunker moved this meeting adjourn. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Sharp, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none.
