Consideration was given to the lease with the Las Vegas Volunteer Firemen for the property on 2nd and Mesquite where the club house is presently located. Commissioner Whipple moved this lease be approved and the Mayor and Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Assistant City Attorney Hawkins requested that the Commission authorize the signing of an agreement for immediate possession of property on Owens Avenue at A Street, required for crossing. Mr. Hawkins advised that the Attorney's office was proceeding with condemnation proceedings but in order to have immediate right of entry, which is necessary, there would have to be an agreement and the City will have to post a bond in the approximate amount of $214l.00.
