    This being the time set for the opening of bids for the installation of the Golf Course Sprinkler System in State I and/or Stage II, bids were received from the following firms: AUTOMATIC IRRIGATION CO. LONGLEY CONSTRUCTION CO. Commissioner Sharp moved the foregoing bids be referred to the Director of Public Works for tabulation and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner W hippie and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and Mayor Baker voting aye; noes, none. This being the time set for receiving bids for the installation of a paved playground area at Jefferson Recreation Center and a paved parking lot at 4th and Stewart, bids were re­ceived from the following firms: IDEAL ASPHALT PAVING CO. INC. INGRAM CONST. CO. PAHLEN CONST. CO. INC. WHITING BROS. CONST. CO. Commissioner Bunker moved the foregoing bids be referred to the Director of Public Works for tabulation and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. This being the time set heretofore for the opening of bids for the furnishing of four one- half ton pickups, 1956 models, bids were received from the following films: CASHMAN GMC TRUC CO. CLARK COUNTY WHOLESALE MERCANTILE CO. COMMUNITY CHEVROLET GAUDIN MOTOR COMPANY. Commissioner Sharp moved the foregoing bids be referred to the Director of Public Works for tabulation and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and Mayor Baker voting aye; noes, none. This being the time heretofore set for the opening of bids for the installation of approxi­mately 3000 feet of Sanitary Sewers in Sunrise Park, bids were received from the following firms: LONGLEY CONSTRUCTION CO. INC. GEO. E. MILLER GENERAL CONTRACTORS CO. (No bid for City in envelop - Government bid received and returned) Commissioner Sharp moved the foregoing bids be referred to the Director of Public Works for tabulation and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and Mayor Baker voting aye; noes, none. This being the time set for the opening of bids for the construction of tennis courts and tennis court lighting at Squires Park, bids were received from the following firms: IDEAL ASPHALT PAVING CO., INC. GEER COMPANY Commissioner Bunker moved the foregoing bids be referred to the Director of Public Works for tabulation and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. This being the time set for the opening of bids for an addition to the Jefferson Avenue Pool Building, bids were received from the following firms: M. D. GIASON SHELTON MILL & CONSTRUCTION WILLARD TERRY Commissioner Bunker moved the foregoing bids be referred to the Director of Public Works for tabulation and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and Mayor Baker voting aye; noes none. This being the time heretofore set for the opening of bids for the furnishing of gasoline for the period from July 1, 1956 to June 30, 1957, bids were received from the following firms: SHELL OIL COMPANY SIGNAL OIL COMPANY STANDARD OIL COMPANY OF CALIFORNIA THE TEXAS CO. TIDEWATER OIL COMPANY (also telegram received advising ½¢ off on regular gasoline) UNION OIL COMPANY OF CALIFORNIA Commissioner Sharp moved the foregoing bids be referred to the Director of Public Works for tabulation and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and Mayor Baker voting aye; noes, none.
