City Manager Kennedy requested permission to secure bids for the purchase of cable and boxes to be used in connection with the new fire alarm system. .Commissioner Bunker moved the request of the City Manager be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Fountain. Commissioner Sharp reported that the Exchange Club has made an offer to furnish playground equipment for the proposed park at 13th and Bridger, if and when the City acquires this property from the Federal Government. The Commission expressed appreciation of this proposal. Commissioner Whipple moved the application of the Las Vegas Firemen's Association for a permit for charitable solicitation be approved, subject to the recommendation of the Solicitations Review Board. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioner Bunker, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent Commissioner Fountain. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, Commissioner Whipple moved this meeting adjourn.
