BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners be directed to publish in said notice that the bids for said bonds will be received until 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday, the 2nd day of November, 1955; and said bids will be opened at 7:30 P.M. or thereabouts on said day. Commissioner Whipple moved the following resolution authorizing the notice of sale of General Obligation Police Detention Bonds in the amount of $250,000 be published, to be sold on November 2, 1955; be adopted: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF SALE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION POLICE DETENTION BONDS $275,000 WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada by Emergency Ordinance No. 664 have directed the City Clerk to advertise for sale GENERAL OBLIGATION POLICE DETENTION BONDS NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st day of September, 1955; that the City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners be and she is hereby directed to publish notice of the receipt of bids for said bonds by publication on September 26, October 3; 10, 17; and 24, 1955; in the Las Vegas Sun, a daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners be directed to publish in said notice that the bids for said bonds will be received until 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday, the 2nd day of November, 1955; and said bids will be opened at 7:30 P.M. or thereabouts on said day. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 14, CHAPTER 11, ALSO KNOWN AS SECTION 5 OF ORDINANCE NO. 240, OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE; PROVIDING FOR FILING OF CLAIMS FOR DAMAGES OR PERSONAL INJURIES, WRONGFUL DEATH AND OTHER TORTS; PROVIDING FORM OF CLAIM AND LIMITING TIME IN WHICH CLAIMS MAY BE FILED; AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Bunker and Whipple for recommendation. At this time the Board considered the operation of an animal shelter on a portion of the SW¼, NW¼, NE¼ of Section 36, T20S, R6lE, MDB&M, being next to the pumping station on 30th Street. Commissioner Sharp moved a use permit allowing the operating of an animal shelter on a portion of the SW¼, NW¼, NE¼ of Section 36, T20S, R6lE, MDB&M, be approved and the following resolution adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, in a regular meeting on the 21st day of September, 1955; having considered the application of the City to operate an animal shelter on a portion of the SW¼, NW¼, NE¼ of Section 36; T20S, R6lE, MDB&M, being next to the pumping station on 30th Street; and The Board having considered the recommendation of the Board of Adjustment approving this application; NOW, THEREFORE, it is the decision of this Board that the application of the City to operate an animal shelter on a portion of the SW¼, NW¼, NE¼ of Section 36, T20S, R6lE, MDB&M, be approved.
