from time to time filed with the First National Bank of Nevada by the Mayor, City Manager, City Clerk, or other official of the City of Las Vegas; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That all previous authorizations for the signing and honoring of checks, drafts, or other orders for the payment of money drawn on the said First National Bank of Nevada by the City of Las Vegas are hereby continued in full force and effect as amplified hereby. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, we have hereunto set our hands and the seal of the City of Las Vegas this 20th day of July, 1955. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. City Engineer George E. Wade recommended that the deed from the Catholic Church for approximately 9½ acres of property located on J Street and West Washington Avenue directly west of Marble Manor be accepted; said deed being dated June 2, 1955, and executed by Robert J. Dwyer, Bishop of the Roman Catholic Church of Reno, Nevada. On motion of Commissioner Sharp, duly seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried unanimously, the following resolution is adopted and order made. BE IT RESOLVED, this 20th day of July, 1955; by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, that the deed, dated the 2nd day of June, 1955; executed by Robert J. Dwyer, Roman Catholic Bishop of Reno, Nevada, to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the real property described therein be, and is hereby accepted, for the purposes and intentions as therein set forth; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said deed, and that the same be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and this resolution be filed in the records of this Board. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 24 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, 1949, ALSO KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE; BY AMENDING THE REQUIREMENTS OF USE PERMITS IN C-2 ZONES; PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Bunker and Whipple for recommendation. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, Commissioner Whipple moved this meeting adjourn.
