CENTRAL HEATING SYSTEM FOR CITY HALL Study to be Made MUNICIPAL COURT Assistance Offered COMPETENT EMPLOYEES POLICY ON PURCHASE Procedure Commissioner Sharp moved the City Engineer be authorized to proceed with a study of the cost of a central heating system and refrigeration for the entire City Hall, with a breakdown for specific sections. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor Mayor Baker voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Jarrett. Commissioner Bunker moved the City Manager be instructed to proceed immediately to furnish sufficient help to the Municipal Court to bring the records up to standard and the maintenance of the operation as recommended by the Grand Jury. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Jarrett. Mayor Baker stated that he felt the Department Heads should analyze the competent employees they may lose because of insufficient salaries and make recommendations to the City Manager. Commissioner Whipple moved that the spending of money, outside of emergencies, not be allowed without going to bid or the the Board, of purchases over $1,000. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Jarrett. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, Commissioner Whipple moved this meeting adjourn.
