WHEREAS, the Board of City Commissioners believes that the citizens of the City of Las Vegas will gladly take voluntary conservation measures in the use of water so that thei neighbors in the City who are less fortunate, may have sufficient water during the daytime to attend to the common necessities of life. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas that all residents of the City of Las Vegas are asked to refrain from watering lawns, trees, gardens, and using water for other agricultural purposes between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. of each day from this date until June 1, 1954; and provided further, that the alternate watering days heretofore provided by pro­clamation shall apply during the permitted watering hours. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Jarrett. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, Commissioner Whipple moved this meeting adjourn. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Jarrett.
