    with the City Clerk, plats, diagrams, plans of the work and the locality to he improved, together with the estimates of cost for constructing sidewalks and curbs and gutters where none exists and the reconstructing of sidewalks and curbs and gutters wherever needed on the following described streets and portions of streets, to-wit: BRIDGER AVENUE from Main Street to 7th Street; CARSON AVENUE from Main Street to 7th Street; FREMONT STREET from Main Street to 7th Street; OGDEN AVENUE from Main Street to 7th Street; STEWART AVENUE from Main Street to 5th Street; MAIN STREET from Bridger Avenue to Stewart Avenue, FIRST, SECOND, THIRD, FOURTH and FIFTH AVENUES from Bridger Avenge to Stewart Avenue; SIXTH AVENUE from Bridger Avenue to Ogden Avenue. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. The claim of Mrs. Esther Merscheim for damages due to a fall on the sidewalk was referred to the City Attorney and the City Manager for investigation. Commissioner Whipple moved the following members of the Board of Zoning Adjustment are to serve for the terms indicated: 1. Robert Schmutzer for a 3 year term. 2. John Replogle for a 2 year term. 3. Ernie Schroer for a 1 year term. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple moved that if the insurance policy on Mike's Liquor Store had not been received with 24 hours, this license will be cancelled. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time Commissioners Sharp and Jarrett members of the committee for recommendation on the proposed rezoning Ordinance reported favorably. Thereafter an Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION IV OF ORDINANCE NO. 378 REFERRED TO AS SECTION 10, CHAPTER 24, OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE, 1949, BY AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN MAP ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, AND CHANGING THE ZONE DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN AREAS ON THE SAID MAP, was read in full to the Board. Commissioner Jarrett moved the above entitled Ordinance No. 593 be adopted, Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time Commissioners Bunker and Whipple members of the committee for recommendation on the proposed Hotel - Motel Sign Ordinance reported favorably. Thereafter an Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE AND CONTROL THE POSTING AND MAINTAINING OF OUTSIDE ADVERTISING SIGNS OF MOTELS, MOTOR COURTS, AND LIKE ESTAB­LISHMENTS; AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF, was read in full to the Board. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved the above entitled Ordinance No. 594 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time Commissioners Sharp and Whipple members of the committee for recommendation on the proposed Board of Appeals Ordinance reported favorably. Thereafter an Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 514 ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE CREATING A BOARD OF APPEALS TO HEAR AND DETERMINE APPEALS FROM RULINGS OF THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT; PROVIDING FOR THE MEMBERS: THEIR DUTIES; AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THERE­WITH," BY PROVIDING FOR A LICENSED PLUMBING CONTRACTOR ON SAID BOARD; PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH, was read in full to the Board. Commissioner Whipple moved the above entitled Ordinance No. 595 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time Commissioners Bunker and Sharp committee for recommendation on the proposed Electrical Code asked for additional time before reporting. At this time Commissioners Jarrett and Whipple committee for recommendation on the proposed Warm Air Heating Code asked for additional time before reporting. At this time an ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR THE REDUCTION OF THE BUILDING SITE AREA REQUIREMENTS IN LOTS 23 - 48, INCLUSIVE, BLOCK 3, LOTS 1 - 24, INCLUSIVE, BLOCK 4, BOULDER DAM HOMESITE TRACT #2; LOTS 25 - 48, INCLUSIVE, BLOCK 1, LOTS 1 - 24, INCLUSIVE, BLOCK 2, LOTS 27 - 52, INCLUSIVE, BLOCK 4, LOTS 1 - 26, INCLUSIVE, BLOCK 3, BOULDER DAM HOMESITE TRACT #3, AND LOTS 26 - 51, INCLUSIVE, BLOCK 5 LOTS 1 - 26, INCLUSIVE, BLOCK 6, BOULDER DAM HOMESITE TRACT #4 TO THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS RELATED THERETO; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCE OR PARTS OF ORDIN­ANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, was read by title to the Board and referred to Commissioners Jarrett and Sharp for study and recommendation. Commissioner Whipple moved this public hearing on the application of Will Max Schwartz Ass'n. for a variance to construct and maintain a casino, bar and entertainment dining room in conjunction with a resort hotel on property located at 900 West Bonanza Road be continued until March 29th at 7:30 P.M. Motion seconded by Commissioners Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none.
