184 Commissioner Whipple moved the recommendation of the Regional Planning Commission that the application of Mrs. Byron Thornton be approved, be accepted and the following Resolution adopted. #345 WHEREAS, on the 16th day of October, 1952, Mrs. Byron Thornton filed an application with the Regional Plannihg Commission for a variance to build a duplex in addition to an existing single family dwelling situated at 417 N. 8th Street between Mesquite Avenue and Linden Avenue in a R-2 (Two Family Residence) Use District; and WHeREAS, on October 23, 1952, the Regional Planning Commission held a Public Hearing on this application for variance at which time no objections were raised and no communications protesting the granting of said variance were raised; and WHEREAS, on October 23, 1952 the Regional Planning Commissioners approved the application as they felt that this use would not be detrimental to surrounding propertys; and WHEREAS, such decision was filed with the Board of Commissioners on November 5, 1952 recommending that such variance be granted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the recommendation of the Regional Planning Commission that Mrs. Byron Thornton be granted a variance to build a duplex in addition to an existing single family dwelling (Situated at 417 N. 8th St. between Mesquite Avenue and Linden Ave. in a R-2 (Two Family Residence) Use District, be and the same hereby is approved. Commissioner Peccole moved the partial payment for assessment District No. 200-5 under Longley Construction Company, in the amount of $8,440.79 be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Commissioner Peccole moved the partial payment for Assessment District San Francisco Street Sewer, Wells-Gargo Inc. in the amount of #24,223.23 be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Commissioner Bunker moved the application of Vaughn Leavitt for Set-Back permit on the Lincoln Market at 3rd St. immediately North of 5th Street be approved provided that the additional pavement and placement of the new curb be completed at no expense to the City, and the sidewalks be paved to the curb.
