The meeting reconvened at the hour of 10:20 P.M. with all members present as of the opening session with the exception of Commissioner Bunker. LIQUOR LICENSE - No action was taken on the request of Sam Stearns to be taken off the liquor license of the Addition of Name Katydid Bar, or the request of Irving I. Gelsen to be added to the license of this bar. The Katydid Bar Board requested that Mr. Norris and Mr. Gelsen be at the next regular meeting. ORDINANCE NO. 490 An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 11, OF ORDINANCE NO. 313, ALSO REFERRED Garbage TO AS SECTION 15, CHAPTER 14, CODE OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, 1949, BY PROVIDING A NEW SCHEDULE OF RATES FOR GARBAGE COLLECTIONS, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCE OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, having been reported on favorably by Commissioners Jarrett and Whipple was read in full to the Board. Commissioner Whipple moved the above entitled Ordinance No. 490 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioner Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. Commissioner Bunker returned to the meeting at 10:55 P.M. ORDINANCE NO. 491 An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER; AND Assistant City Manager PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES THEREOF, having been reported on favorably by Commissioners Bunker Commissioner Bunker moved the above entitled Ordinance No. 491 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. ORDINANCE NO. 492 An ordinance entitled; AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND EMERGENCY ORDINANCE NO. 468 ENTITLED: "AN Civil Service EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, COUNTY OF CLARK, STATE OF NEVADA, CREATING AND ESTABLISHING CIVIL SERVICE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY, DEFINING TERMS, PROVIDING FOR EXAMINATION; ESTABLISHING ELIGIBILITY LISTS; PROVIDING FOR APPOINTMENTS; PROMOTIONS; DISCIPLINARY ACTION; REPORTS AND RECORDS; CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLANS; AND ALL MATTERS RELATING THERETO; AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 391 AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH," BY ADDING A NEW SECTION PROVIDING FOR THE METHOD OF PAYMENT TO TERMINATING EMPLOYEES; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, having been reported on favorably by Commissioners Bunker and Whipple was read in full to the Board.
