    NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the recommendation of the Regional Planning Commission that Harold B, Foutz be granted permission to construct three additional apartments on a lot with four existing apartments at 1155 South 4th Street in an R-3 (Limited Multiple) Use District; be and the same hereby is approved, provided, however, that the privileges granted be util­ized in accordance with the time limit provided by ordinance. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. Commissioner Peccole moved that the application of Josephine Jackson for variance to permit the operation of child nursery at 611 South 1st be approved subject to Police Investigation of her character and qualifications, and subject to inspection by the Fire Department and Health Department. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. Commissioner Peccole moved that the School Board be notified that July 1, 1952 is the closing date for the next annexation to be taken in, and the Board of Commissioners intend to take in that area where the Variety School for Specialized Education is located. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. Commissioner Whipple moved the decision on the rezoning of Charleston Village be held in abey­ance until June 4, 1952. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following voter Commissioners Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. Mr. Tom Foley, representing Mr. Moe Taub present owner of Jay's Jewelry appeared before the Board at this time. Mr. Foley stated that Mr. Taub had no objections to the license for the pawnshop being transferred to Mildred Stoney and Margaret Burleycamp. Commissioner Whipple moved the application of Mildred Stoney and Margaret Burleycamp for the pawnshop license for Jay's Jewelry at 119 South 1st Street be approved subject to investiga­tion by the Police Department. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. Commissioner Whipple moved the application of Milton Robinson for permission to have a shoe shine stand at 510 Fremont be approved subject to his compliance with the conditions of the Building Inspector. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. Commissioner Peccole moved the application of Alfred Slade for a shoe shine stand at 125 North 3rd Street be approved subject to the approval of the Fire Inspector. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. Commissioners Jarrett and Whipple were appointed as a committee to make a report on the load­ing zones and off-street parking at the next regular meeting on June 4, 1952. Commissioner Jarrett moved the request of Mrs. Alliers to park a trailer on her property on the comer of Bruce and Mesquite be denied on the ground that it is against the Ordinances of the City. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. The request of the LDS Church for the City to install a drainage system for their property on North 5th Street was referred to Commissioners Jarrett and Whipple for investigation and recommendation. Commissioner Peccole moved the recommendation of the City Manager that Bid No, 52.7 for two l½ Ton trucks be awarded to A.C. Grant be accepted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple moved the recommendation of the City Manager that Bid No. 52.8 be awarded to Community Chevrolet, be accepted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by/the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. Commissioner Peccole moved the recommendation of the City Manager that Bid No. 52.9 be awarded to Ted Werner, be accepted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent; Commissioner Bunker.
