    Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Peccole moved the City Manager be authorized to negotiate with the County Com- missioners on the agreement on the disposition of the old Library Building, and that a time limit be specified on the widening of the streets surrounding the Courthouse, Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett, and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Bunker moved the request of Nevada Outdoor Advertising Company to lease the cor­ner of North 5th and Wilson Streets for outdoor advertising be referred to the Regional Plan­ning Commission for recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. The application of Hughie Roach and associates for a tavern liquor license at the Last. Chance, 109 Fremont, was presented at this time, Discussion was held. Commissioner Bunker moved this matter be held in abeyance until a decision can be made on the revocation of the 49er Club liquor license on February 6, 1952. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Bunker moved the application of Tom O‘Larey, Payless Drug Store, 215 Fremont for a Retail Liquor (Minature) license instead of a Retail Liquor license be denied. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Bunker moved the following applications for additional gaming license for the second quarter of 1952 be approved. Schellang 18 Fremont 4 slots Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners .Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Peccole moved the application of Norman Khoury, Club Savoy 116 Fremont for 54 slot machines be approved. This motion died for lack of a second. Commissioner Whipple moved the following new application for gaming license for the second quarter of 1952 be approved. CINNABAR RESTAURANT L.P. Lawrence 122 North 2nd 2 slots DESERT JUICE BAR B. Breedlove 222 Fremont 8 slots Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Bunker moved the application of Hughie Roach, et al, Last Chance, 109 Fremont for 100 slots, 2 Craps and 2 "21" for the second quarter of 1952 be held in abeyance. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Bunker moved the application of Sam Cohen, Tivoli Turf, 126 North 1st for license for 1 Race Horse Book for the second quarter of 1952 be tabled. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Peccole passed his vote. Commissioner Bunker moved the following applications for gaming license for the second quarter of 1952 be approved: DESERT DRIVE INN Wilbur & Willie Sorensen 2110 South 5th 2 slots FROSTY CONE C.C. McGovern 408 North 5th 2 slots Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Peccole moved the request of M.H. and Max Gordon, Southwest Liquor Store to hold the liquor license in abeyance until a new location is found be approved until July 1, 1952. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 11, OF ORDINANCE 313, ALSO REFERRED TO AS SECTION 15, CHAPTER 14, CODE OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, 1949, BY PROVIDING A NEW SCHEDULE OF RATES FOR GARBAGE COLLECTIONS, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Jarrett and Whipple for recommendation.
