Commissioner Peccole moved the report be accepted and filed. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. The letter notifying the Board that they were not satisfied with the streets in Southridge Tracts Nos. 1,2,3 and 4 received from the Sub-dividers, Howard and Hassett was read to the Board. Commissioner Peccole moved the City Engineer be advised to make a complete survey and report on this subdivision and that the bonds be held until we have an official release, and Howard and Hassett be notified of this action# Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. At this time Mr. George Rudiak, representing Dr. Levon Kassabian Gregior Kassabian, protesting the request of the Power Company for a use permit to extend the San Francisco Street Substation arrived. Mr. Rudiak urged the denial of the request. Commissioner Peccole moved this use permit be allowed. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. At this time Mr. Dick White appeared before the Board protesting the treatment he has received in the installation of sewer in the Meadows Addition. Mr. White explained to the Board that he had requested the installation of an additional sewer outlet. Mr. White stated that he had only two outlets while the property across the street received six. Commissioner Whipple moved the City Manager check the assessment paid by Mr. White as compared to the property owners across the street and based on this report take further action and give Mr. White a letter. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. At this time the request of W. Nickols, 210½ North 9th for permission to keep goats on his property was present for consideration. Commissioner Whipple moved this request of Mr. Nickols be denied. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. The request of the Las Vegas Land and Water Company as to the location of proposed streets surrounding Marble Manor in order that they might install water mains, was presented to the Board at this time. Commissioner Peccole moved the request of the Las Vegas Land and Water Company regarding location of water mains in Marble Manor be continued until the City has more definite plans on the street improvements. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. Commissioner Jarrett moved pursuant to the request of Dr. Monte Bernstein that action on the Gaming and Liquor licenses for the Horseshoe Club be deferred until July 18, 1951 this action be taken. Commissioner Whipple moved the minutes of June 20 and 28, 1951 be approved by reference and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. The notification from the Morning Sun of their legal status as of July 1, 1951 was read to the Board. Thereafter, Commissioner Peccole moved if the Morning Sun has the legal status to publish legal notices, that the legal notices published by the City be put out for bid.
