Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the fol­lowing vote: Commissioners Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. Commissioner Whipple moved that the extension of Concession Agree­ment with J. Francis Shere, said agreement to expire on August 22, 1955 be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the fol­lowing vote : Commissioners Moora,Peccoie, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. Commissioner Whipple moved the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign the Notice of Cancellation of Official Bond of the City Treasurer, as requested by the Massachusetts Bonding & Insurance Company. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the fol­lowing vote: Commissioners Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker, An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTIONS 21 AND 31 OF NO. 331 ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A PUBLIC POUND; PRESCRIBING THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE POUNDMASTER; FIXING THE FEES AND CHARGES TO BE COLLECTED BY HIM, AND .DIRECTING THE DIS- POSITION THEREOF; PROVIDING FOR THE REGISTRATION OF DOGS AND DOG KENNELS AND FIXING THE FEES THEREFOR; PROVIDING FOR THE VACCINATION OF DOGS AND CATS; PROVIDING FOR THE REDEMPTION, SALE OR OTHER DISPOSITION OF DOGS AND OTHER ANIMALS IMPOUNDED; PROHIBITING CRUELTY TO ANIMALS; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE PROVISIONS THEREOF; REPEALING ORDINANCES NO. 5, 12, 19, 51, 58, 63, AND 101, AND ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH, AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO. " ALSO REFERRED TO AS SECTIONS 18 AND 32 OF CHAPTER 4 OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE, was reported on favorably by Commissioners Moore and Whipple and thereafter read in full to the Board. Commissioner Whipple moved the foregoing entitled Ordinance No. 431 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the fol­lowing vote: Commissioners Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. At this time the following applications for gaming for the third quarter of 1950 being new locations of old operators, were pre­sented to the Board for their consideration: WRIGHT MARINELLO BEAUTY SHOP 314 Fremont So. Nev. Vending 2 slots PATSY'S RESTAURANT 1039 South Main Cardinal & Sullivan 2 slots Commissioner Whipple moved the foregoing applications for gaming license be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. At this time the following applications for liquor licenses for the third quarter of 1950 were presented to the Board for their con­sideration: ECONOMY ICE SERVICE Frank L. Levi 422 Jefferson Retail Beverage LAURA MC VADE 1314 F Street Sealed Pkg. (Mina.) CHARLESTON INN Thomas M. Ulisse 17 W. Charleston Retail Rest. Beverage Commissioner Moore moved that action on liquor licenses be held in abeyance until the next regular meeting of the Board to be held September 7, 1950, when there is a full Board present. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the fol­lowing vote: Commissioners Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. At this time a letter from the Public Service Commission under date of August 21, 1950 received by the City Attorney concerning the Board of City Commissioners' request for formal hearing on the present water supply for the City of Las Vegas was read to the Board. Thereafter Commissioner Peccole moved this meeting be held on September 21, 1950 at 10:00 A.M., and that the Advisory Board to the City Commission be requested to attend. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the fol­lowing vote: Commissioners Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, hone. Absent: Commissioner Bunker.
