    468 GAMING & LIQUOR * Commissioner Moore moved that the application of Carl F. Amante, Nevada Biltmore Nevada Biltmore Hotel Carp., 600 North Main Street for a Retail Tavern Liquor license and one "21" game and one Roulette, be tabled. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioners Whipple passed his vote. DEPARTMENT SUPERVISION At this time the Board discussed selecting various departments in the City in order that each member of the Board might better acquaint himself with the procedures, methods, etc., used by these departments. The following assignments were made: Commissioner Bunker - Police & Fire Departments Commissioner Moore - Street and Light Departments Commissioner Peccole - Recreation, Park, Cemetery & Golf Course Departments Commissioner Whipple - Finance Mayor Cragin - Sewer Department PROPOSED ORDINANCE An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 16, AS AMENDED, OF ORDINANCE NO. 203, Liquor OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE DISTRIBUTION AND CONTROL OF INTOXICATING AND ALCOHOLIC LIQUORS AND BEVERAGES; REGULATING PLACES WHERE AND UNDER WHAT CONDITIONS SAID INTOXICATING AND ALCOHOLIC LIQUORS AND BEVERAGES MAY BE KEPT, SOLD AND GIVEN AWAY OR OTHERWISE DISTRIBUTED, PROVIDING FOR PERMITS AND LICENSES; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE." ALSO REFERRED TO AS SECTION 16, CHAPTER 16 OF THE LAS VEGAS CODE, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Moore and Peccole for report. PROPOSED ORDINANCE An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 7 OF ORDINANCE NO. 244 OF THE CITY Public Utilities OF LAS VEGAS ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS LICENSING, FOR PURPOSES OF REGULATION AND REVENUE EVERY KIND OF LAWFUL BUSINESS HEREINAFTER SPECIFIED, TRANS­ACTED OR CARRIED ON WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, STATE OF NEVADA; FIXING THE RATES OF LICENSE TAX, AND A PUNISHMENT FOR CARRYING ON OR CONDUCTING ANY SUCH BUSINESS WITHOUT A LICENSE, AND REPEALING ORDINANCES NUMBERED, 1, 2, 4, 13, 14, 35, 48, 62, 74, 75, 81, 95, 102, 103, 108, 112, 117, 145, 184, 192 and 243." ALSO RE­FERRED TO AS SECTION 10, CHAPTER 17 OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE, was read by title to the Board and referred to Commissioners Bunker and Whipple for report. There being no further business to come before the meeting at this time, the meeting adjourned. CANNON, CITY Attorney of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada You and each of you will please take notice that pursuant to a call this day issued by Mayor Cragin, a Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, will be held in the Council Chambers at the City Hall, 5th & Stewart, on the 15th day of September, 1949, at the hour of 3:00 P.M. to consider the following matters: 1.
