Proposed vacation of certain portions of 9th Street - Public Hearing. 2. Petition for re-hearing with the C. A. B. regarding landing privileges of TWA. S/ E. W. Cragin Mayor NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING TO: E. W. CRAGIN, Mayor and to WENDELL BUNKER, R. T. MOORE, WILLIAM PECCOLE, REED WHIPPLE, Commissioners, and J. M. MURPHY, City Manager and HOWARD W. CANNON, City Attorney of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada. You and each of you will please take notice that pursuant to a call this day issued by Mayor Cragin, a Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, will be held in the Council Chambers at the City Hall, 5th & Stewart, on the 12th day of July 1949, at the hour of 3:00 P.M. to consider the following matters: 1. Proposed vacation of certain portions of 9th Street - Public Hearing. 2. Petition for re-hearing with C.A.B. regarding landing privileges of TWA. S/ Shirley Ballinger_______________ City Clerk ACCEPTANCE OF NOTICE We, the undersigned Mayor, Commissioners, City Manager and City Attorney of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, do hereby admit due service of the foregoing Notice of Special Meeting: S/ E. W. Cragin____________________ S/ Wendell Bunker___________________ William Peccole S/ Robert T. Moore S/ Reed Whipple Las Vegas, Nevada July 12, 1949 A Special Meeting held this 12th day of July, 1949 was called to order at the hour of 3:45 P.M. by His Honor Mayor E.W. Cragin with the following members present: Commissioners Bunker, Peccole, Whipple; City Manager J.M. Murphy and City Clerk Shirley Ballinger. Absent: Commis­sioner Moore and City Attorney Howard W. Cannon. VACATION OF PORTION This being the time set for the hearing on the vacation of a portion of South 9th Street be- OF SOUTH 9TH STREET tween Lewis and Clark Avenue, His Honor read the petition dated January 4, 1949, the letter Public Hearing of recommendation from the Regional Planning Commission under date of June 6, 1949, and the notice of public hearing authorized to be posted on June 7, 1949. Thereafter His Honor asked if there was any one present who wished to protest the vacation of this portion of South 9th Street. There being no one present who wished to protest, Commissioner Peccole moved that the following order of vacation be made: ORDER A Petition, dated the 4th day of January, 1949, signed By five (5) freeholders re­siding in the area affected, having been filed with the Clerk of this Board, petitioning for the vacation of those portions of Ninth Street, hereinafter described, and said Petition having been by Order of this Board referred to the Planning Commission of the City of Las Vegas for its recommendation in the premises, and said Planning Commission having filed its report January 31, 1949, with the Board approving and recommending said vacation; And, this Board, by an Order made at its regular meeting on the 7th day of June, 1949,
