337 ORDINANCE NO. 377 An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE REGULATING SPECIAL POLICE OFFICERS AND PRIVATE PATROLS; PRO- Special Officers VIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS AND COMMISSIONS FOR THE SAME; PROHIBITING THE WEARING OF BADGES 2nd Reading AND EMBLEMS EXCEPT BY DULY COMMISSIONED PEACE OFFICERS; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH, AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO, was read to the Board for a second time. Thereafter Commissioner Clark moved that Ordinance No. 377 be approved on its second reading. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Baskin. PROPOSED ORDINANCE Commissioner Clark, member of the committee to report on the proposed land use ordinance asked No. 378 - Land Use for additional time before reporting. VACATION OF SOUTH Commissioner Whipple moved that the recommendation of the Planning Commission contained in their 13th - BONNEVILLE letter dated December 21, 1948 relative to the vacation of certain portions of Bonneville, 13th & ALLEY Street and the alley in Block 26 of Pioneer Heights Addition, as described in the petition presented by Murray Wollman, be approved. Further that the City Attorney be instructed to commence proceedings for the aforementioned vacation and the City Clerk authorized to post notices of a public hearing on the proposed vacation to be held January 24, 1949 at the hour of 3:00 P. M. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Baskin. AUCTIONEER ORDINANCE Commissioner Whipple moved that the letter received from the Chamber of Commerce dated December 15, 1948 enclosing a copy of the Los Angeles ordinance covering Auctioneers be referred to the City Attorney. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Baskin. LAS VEGAS CLUB - Commissioner Clark moved that the request of J. Kell Houssels, Las Vegas Club, 19-23 Fremont to New Location transfer licenses to the Clark-Ronnow Building on East Fremont be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Baskin. LIQUOR APPLICATION Commissioner Clark moved that the request of John Hiller, Lanrep Bar, 13 Fremont to transfer Keyhole Bar his retail tavern liquor license to John Harrell, Keyhole Bar be approved if and when the same has been approved by the Police Department. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Baskin. INVITATION TO BID Commissioner Moore moved that the concern of Conway & Moe be invited to bid on City auditing ON AUDITING for the year 1949. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Baskin. There being no further business to come before the meeting Commissioner Clark moved that this meeting recess until December 29,1948 at the hour of 3:00 P.M.
