Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved that the foregoing Ordinance No. 364 be approved on its second reading. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Moore. PROPOSED ORDINANCE Commissioner Whipple, member of the committee for report on the proposed ordinance REal Estate Brokers licensing real estate brokers and salesmen, asked for additional time for clarifica- & Salesmen tion of certain sections of this ordinance before reporting. LIQUOR APPLICATION Commissioner Whipple moved that the application of the Esquire Bar, 120 South 2nd Street, Esquire Bar for the third quarter of 1948 by Walter South as manager be denied. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Moore. GAMING APPLICATIONS At this time the following gaming applications for the third quarter of 191*8 were pre- 3rd Qtr. 1948 sented to the Board for their consideration: Arthur Rosen, Pres. La Cosita Cafe 1503 South 5th 2 slots Thereafter Commissioner Baskin moved that the foregoing applications for gaming for the third quarter of 1948 be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Moore. DELINQUENT LICENSES Commissioner Whipple moved that the list of uncollected delinquent business licenses for the 2nd and 3rd quarters of 1948 as presented by the City Clerk be referred to the City Attorney for immediate attention. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Moore. There being no further business to come before the meeting Commissioner Clark moved that this meeting recess until September 13, 191*8. Pennington Post #1753, Veterans of Foregin Wars for permission to sponsor Siebrands Combined Circus and Carnival for the week beginning September 22, 1948 be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Clark. UPRR — Standby Service Commissioner Whipple moved that the revised supplemental agreement between the Los Supplemental Agreement Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad Company, Union Pacific Railroad Company, and the City of Las Vegas first presented to the Board on June 30, 1948, be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Clark.
