191 ZONE EXCEPTION CASE #34 Commissioner Baskin moved that the matter of Zone Exception Case #34 relative to a dog hospital to be operated by Dr. Bernkrant be referred back to the Planning Commission with the recommendation that they again call a public hearing of the property owners in that vicinity so they may be heard in the matter. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye. Noes, none. EMERGENCY ORDINANCE An Emergency Ordinance, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE TITLE NO. 342 OF AND TO AMEND SECTION 7 OF ORDINANCE #210 OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE TO FIX, IMPOSE AND PROVIDE FOR THE COLLECTION OF A LICENSE TAX ON MOTOR PROPELLED VEHICLES OPERATED FOR HIRE, AND TO REGULATE THE OPERATION AND RUNNING OF THE SAME, WITHIN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS; FIXING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 100 and ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;" AND REPEALING ORDINANCES NO. 266 and 279 AND ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH," was read to the Board for their consideration. EMERGENCY ORDINANCE An emergency ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE NO. 343 CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF BUSINESS, COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL DRIVEWAYS IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS; REQUIRING PERMITS THEREFOR AND PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE THEREOF; FIXING AND IMPOSING THE FEES TO BE PAID UPON THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS; CANCELLING AND REVOKING AIL PERMITS FOR SUCH DRIVEWAYS HERETOFORE ISSUED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVOCATION OF PERMITS ISSUED HEREUNDER; PRESCRIBING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF AMY OF THE PROVISIONS HEREOF; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO." was read to the Board in full for their consideration. SERVICE & MATERIAL Commissioner Clark moved that service and material warrants #1355- WARRANTS 1359, both inclusive, in the sum of $23,309.90 be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. GAMING APPLICATION Commissioner Clark moved that the application of F. J. Woodward for F. J. Woodward 1 slot machine at the Shell Service Station, 1725 Fremont Street be granted.
