    113 Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye. Noes, none. SEWAGE TREATMENT Commissioner Baskin moved that the city manager be directed to Ralph W. O'Neill write a letter negotiating for a deed to the land on which the Federal Sewage Treatment Plant is located. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple, and His Honor voting aye. Noes, none. SIGNAL EQUIPMENT Commissioner Clark moved that purchase procedure be waived for Purchase the purchase of signal controls and equipment in the amount of $981.60. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye. Noes, none. CHARLESTON SQUARE #1 Commissioner Whipple moved that the city attorney be directed Ordinance to be prepared to draw up an assessing ordinance for street lighting district Street lighting in Charleston Square Tract #1. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye. Noes, none. SKATING -- Sundays Commissioner Baskin moved that there be no skating in the Memorial Building on Sunday. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye. Noes, none. GAMING APPLICATIONS - The following gaming applications were presented to the Board Additions - for their consideration: Club Savoy M. B. Hicks Log Cabin Bar - Sam Taylor Mayfair Drug T. H. Brandt Slot Machine Lee Hughes Commissioner Baskin moved that the foregoing applications be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye. Noes, none. ORDINANCE NO. 335 An Ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE TO REPEAL SECTION 11 OF Second reading ORDINANCE NUMBER 325 OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS ENTITLED: 'AN ORDINANCE TO PROHIBIT GAMING AND OPERATION OF SLOT MACHINES IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS WITHOUT FIRST OBTAINING A LICENSE THERE­FOR; REGULATING THE SAME; FIXING THE AMOUNT OF LICENSE FEES; PROVIDING THE PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF; REPEALING ORDINANCES NOS. 77, 82, 88, 103, 115, 165, 245, 271, 287, and 319, AND ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO", was read to the Board for a second time. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved that the foregoing Ordinance be approved and adopted on its second reading. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye. Noes, none. ORDINANCE NO. 336 An Ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CURB LINES AND 1st reading FIXING THE LOCATION OF CURBS OVER AND ALONG NORTH MAIN STREET FROM CARSON AVENUE TO A POINT DISTANT APPROXIMATELY 237 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF BONANZA ROAD, IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS; ESTABLISHING THE OFFICIAL GRADES OF THE STREET AND CURBS IN NORTH MAIN AND BONANZA ROAD, ACCORDING TO THE PLANS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS OF THE STATE OF NEVADA; AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH," having been read by title on July 22, 1947 referred to a committee composed of Commissioners Moore and Whipple for recommendation. Said Committee reported favorably on same. Thereafter, Commissioner Whipple moved that the foregoing Ordinance be approved on its first reading. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye. Noes, none. ORDINANCE NO. 334 An ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE 'LAS VEGAS Rejected RECREATIONAL COUNCIL'; PROVIDING FOR ITS ORGANIZATION AND GOVERN- MENT, AND THE APPOINTMENT OF ITS MEMBERS; DEFINING ITS POWERS AND AUTHORITY; PRESCRIBING ITS DUTIES; AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO," having been read by title to the Board on July 7, 1947 and referred to Commissioners Clark and Whipple for recommendation. Said committed stated that they were not ready to report on this ordinance at this meeting.
